Pickle Pub Crawl is CLOSED for the season.
See you next year!
We are now CLOSED for the season.
See you February 10, 2018!
We signed up for the Gorge Tour and were lucky enough to get Buzz for our tour guide! A local who was born and raised in Victoria! This was probably the most fun tour we had during our entire trip! Buzz is hilarious and we so enjoyed hearing about his adventures with Petey - his childhood friend! Incorporating those fun stories into all that he showed us made this tour truly a great experience! Whether you get Buzz or not - either tour along the Harbour is well worth it! A fun way to learn about Victoria from the perspective of the water!

We had Christopher as our captain and found him informative entertaining and charismatic. We learnt a lot of history that isn't published in a local tourist map. Would definitely do it again and recommend it to anyone. The only way it could improve is wine/beer. Get working on it guys for my next visit.

These little ferries are great value for money and really quite fun.
We used the little ferries as a way to get from the inner harbour to Fisherman's wharf and over the the far pier. Our captain was lovely and very knowledgeable about Victoria. He spent time telling us all about the harbour and all we could see.

Neat way to get across harbor without the long walk. We were at the harbor close to the parliament, took water taxi to other areas, had fish and chips, and watched harbor seals come up and take bait fish from other tourists. very enjoyable.

Good fun with informative captains giving you a good history tour of the local sights all delivered with a great sense of humour. On a beautiful sunny day our harbour tour provided an excellent photo opportunity with great perspective of the sights and harbour buildings etc from out on the water. Great views of Fishermans wharf which you can enjoy further with a stop off. Not too choppy the day we went but could be a little more lively in windier weather as you cross the seaplane runway.
Really enjoyed the 45 minute tour that actually lasted closer to an hour with opportunities to sit exposed to the sun through open sides or away from the wind if required. Thanks to Ben for the welcome on board and excellent narration of history and future plans for the harbour.

Did the Gorge Tour today. Great commentary and fun trip on these quaint little ferries. Our Captain, Sandi was excellent .... Very friendly & knowledgeable. Sandi dropped us off at Delta Resort for a pleasant lunch, overlooking the seaplane terminal. We were given a token to ensure that our water taxi ride back to Empress Pier didnt cost us extra. Loved it!

We (7 from 75-7 years old) rode the water taxis four times, each time from our hotel near Fisherman's Warf to the Empress Hotel/Inner Harbour. They are frequent and fun and can hold 12 people. Ask the captain about how the water traffic is controlled with ferry boats, kayaks, sea planes, etc. running around all day...he'll know. They are knowledgeable, friendly and efficient in getting you from point "a" to point "b." The cost is reasonable at $6 (Canadian) one way and $10 round trip. There is a chart that calculates the fare for longer than one stop hops. They also do tours. The kids felt it was almost like a Disney ride...great fun!!

Pickle Pub Crawl!
Pub crawl across the harbour was so much fun! You buy a ticket for $25 and this allows you to take the water taxi as many times as you want between 5-9pm. You just call when you're at one of the H2O ferry stops and they're very good about picking you up within a few minutes. They give you a map of participating bars and if you go with a group of 4 you get a free appetizer with the purchase of a drink. What a great way to spend an evening in Victoria.

“Good value for money”
There were two tours to choose from, we plumbed for the Gorge. It was advertised as 45 minutes at a cost of $26. So off we went. The skipper was Kinsley and he was very good and gave a running commentary as we went. Pointed out lots of places of interest and told local stories. Saw parts of Victoria you'd not usually see.
We have to say, we did this tour today (March 5/16) and it was the highlight of our day! Great information and stories. Excellent history about the area! Buzz, we can't say enough good about him! We are from Comox and will definitely look him up this spring and summer when we come back! Cheers! Great tour!

"Water Ballets & Pickle Boats!"
We took the Gorge tour in one of the "pickle boats" as the locals call them. The captain gave us the history of Gorge and part of the harbor. We also made it on Sunday to see the water ballet performed by the water taxis. It was alot of fun.

My friend Serge and I visited Victoria for a wonderful day trip from Vancouver last week on Tuesday Aug 14. We both took the Victoria Harbour Ferry tour of the harbour on a boat captained by Christine. She was an excellent guide, with a warm, charming personality.
She added to a wonderful day with great memories of victoria, especially for myself, since I live in Montreal and will not return to Victoria or BC for some time.
Christine should be recognized for her excellent work. Thanks, Christine!
What a great way to enjoy Victoria! The kids loved the Tour, and we used the ferries all weekend to get around downtown. Thanks to the fantastic ‘captains’ who made every trip special.
We were at the Coast Hotel in Victoria from July 10 until checkout on the 13th. We loved your water ballet and taxi service. We also did both tours that you offered. Our first tour was with Charlie touring the outer and inner harbour. He is a blast! Great humour and very informative at the same time. I got a great candid shot of him and hope you will pass it along.
Thanks for everything...we will be back!

“A neat way to tour around Victoria without your car.”
We stayed at the West Bay Marina & RV Park in Esquimalt and discovered the easiest way to get to downtown Victoria for shopping and sightseeing was by hopping on the Harbour Ferry which comes right into the marina. We took it down to the docks in front of the Empress. We went for lunch and walked around Victoria's waterfront and then walked over to Fishermen's Wharf where we caught the ferry back to West Bay.
