A Free Bus Shuttle Service Comes to Downtown Victoria

Starting Friday, August 21st , 2009 the Downtown Victoria Business Association will be offering a free shuttle bus service within the downtown area of Victoria. This 30-day trial project will operate daily from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and allow residents and visitors the opportunity of enjoying the convenience of hop-on, hop-off service to many exciting destinations within the downtown, including LoJo, Chinatown, the Design District, and Bastion Square.
The shuttle service will include stops on Government Street, both at Humboldt (near Sam’s Deli and Spirit of Victoria) and at Pandora (opposite Mountain Equipment Co-op); Store Street at Chatham (by Capital Iron & Ocean River); and at Wharf Street, south of Yates (in front of Regent Hotel).
The complete loop route will take fifteen minutes from beginning to end. The thirty-eight passenger vehicle provides a comfortable ride and its interior and exterior compliment the charm of Downtown Victoria.
